Queens Health Club Dirty Little Secret No. 1 ‘They’ll Cajole you to Register with their Fitness Programs, but they will really hope you fail to continue your workout after you Sign up.

Queens Health Clubs exploit the fact that round about 80 percent to 90 percent of the people who will register with them will fail to use any of the facilities promised to be provided to them for any longer period than one to three months per year. Why?

If all those people who have registered with a fitness club to have a membership actually start visiting the gym regularly, it would become uncontrollably overcrowded and the gym owners will have to shut it down. The case was of an aged woman who was hesitating about being a member, so the salesman forwarded her to the sales manager as he was sure that the sales manger will succeed to get the old lady in the trap with his forceful ‘closing tactics.

The woman on the other hand just wanted to get rid of it, so she made an excuse that she needs to catch her car. The sales manager denied giving up and demanded the aged lady to leave her driver license at the health club office. I felt like grabbing his collar and beating him, how could he do this to that respectable aged lady?

She was trapped as she nervously submitted her driver’s license to that bully sales manager. When she came back, he forced her to accept the membership. It was obvious that she had no choice but to get rid of the daunting manager even at the cost of wasting her money on the membership she knows she won’t be able to use. Next day, her son took care of the issue and called the gym and demanded that his mother’s contract should be cancelled otherwise he will report the issue in accordance with New York State Law. The Gym cancelled the contract only after that.

I can mention many such incidences that happened in front of me.

These Queens health Clubs have nothing to do with your health or fitness, what they are interested is, is your hard earned money. Let me clarify this further…

Many a times, innocent people call on these corporate gyms and fitness clubs to enquire about the fitness plans and membership. In other cases, some people win a free one week exercising coupon that are advertized here and there on newspapers and internet. If you have experienced doing so, how many times were you called by the sales agent and how insisting was he to force you to get in the trap?

These Queens Health Club agents and other staff are properly trained to keep calling you and cajoling you until you gives in and gets registered as a member. The motto of these Queens health clubs remains “sell to you until you either buy or die.”

Rea every bit of it irrespective of how small the print is and sign anything only after you understand each and every aspect of that unscrupulous contract.

The trained sales representatives of these Queens Health Clubs may cajole you by offering somewhat seemingly beneficial schemes. They never discuss the minute details about the contract papers and their content. Furthermore, the very small print of the contract papers makes it difficult for you to read it.

Did you know that the major trouble in cancelling a contractual membership with a Queens Health Club is because of the minutely printed stipulations that have been complained maximum times against the Health Clubs at the Better Business Bureau and other States Attorney’s General Offices?

To exemplify, most of the Queens Gyms offer a 60 day period cancellation policy which is mentioned in very minute print within the contract…If you want to get rid of the trap and demand the Gym managers to cancel your membership, they will say that they cannot do it at the Gym office and you need to contact with the corporate to accomplish your cancellation.
